 Part 2  (Libra - Pisces)

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

Design personality: Harmonious, elegant, creative

Libras are impulsive buyers and usually end up purchasing things they don't actually need. If it looks pretty or feels good, Libra wants it, and it's no surprise if this fashionista wants to impulsively buy all of the shiny latest trends.

Represented by the celestial scales, Libras are the signs of balance and harmony, and this is reflected in their day to day lives as well as their design aesthetic. A well-balanced home is a must – never too ostentatious or too minimal. Lighter, pastel colours suit a Libra’s home well - inviting to guests, without being too overwhelming or bland for your tastes. Their rooms would compliment one another, without being crowded or too perfectly matched. They’d do best to invest in tasteful, elegant decor that is upscale and timeless, but also not too flashy- such as airy curtains, sleek throw pillows or a decorative mirror. Ruled by Venus, the planet of love and beauty, these aesthetes will surround themselves with carefully selected objects that reflect their well-developed tastes.

A Libra's home will be peaceful, with plenty of romantic motifs – hearts, cherubs, flowers – and should invest in plenty of storage to keep their possessions orderly and their space harmonious.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

Design personality: Dramatic, gothic, meticulous

One of the most mysterious and seductive of the Zodiac, but much like their celestial spirit animal, Scorpio hides a venomous sting. It is this hidden dark side that will inform a Scorpio's environment, leaning toward mid-century gothic and industrial design, with plenty of deep, romantic colours like emerald green, burgundy, and plum. Scorpios will be drawn to luxuriously tactile fabrics – faux fur, silk, leather, and rich natural woods.

A high level of self-awareness means that details are important, so interiors are usually meticulously planned out down to the last detail. To lighten the dramatics of Scorpios abode, use scattered references to their shining blue birthstone, the topaz, that encourages healing, recharging, and aligns the meridians of the body.

Sagittarius  (November 22 – December 21)

Design personality: Adventurous, flexible, nature-inspired

These intrepid travellers of the zodiac can be found wandering the globe and chasing new thrills and adventures.

Born with an unquenchable thirst for change and novelty, it is unlikely that a Sagittarius will be able to stand a single design scheme in their homes for very long. A Sagittarius is endlessly curious and forever roaming so is likely to mix things up regularly.

With so much adventure in their lives, Sagittarians are excellent storytellers, and their homes will always reflect this, with walls filled with maps, interesting artefacts, souvenirs, and postcards.

A strong proclivity for the outdoors means that Sagittarians are drawn to natural colours and materials, and pieces that reference the ocean, mountains, or any number of foreign landscapes that can spark their imagination. Bring the outdoors inside using light, space, plants, plus natural woods and fibres. Make your garden a real living space with hammocks, fire pits, gazebos and water features as you’ll likely spend all of your time there during the warmer months.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

Design personality: Traditional, functional, craftsmanship

Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, the planet that governs time and restrictions and accordingly, displays workaholic tendencies. A Capricorn's dream home will reflect the things they value - hard work and efficiency. They will likely have the best home office space above any other sign in the zodiac. They lean more towards the sleek, classic and minimalist decor style and want their home to stay organised and easily manageable so they can focus on other things besides keeping their things in order. A large desk, stylish functional storage, drawers and sturdy shelves would be on their list, as well as smart technology. When it comes to purchasing, capricorns esteem quality over quantity and like to buckle down and save for the costly and luxurious version of something they love.

Earthy colour palettes work best for the Capricorn home, along with subtle lighting and simple decorative items like landscape pictures and family photos. While this self-sufficient sign enjoys working hard, they also like to unwind at the end of the day. Create a calming mood with pine and cedar scents, fresh cut flowers, and small plants throughout your living space.

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)

Design personality: Eccentric, harmonious, tech savvy

The anti-establishment Aquarius will likely have the most interesting home to visit. Represented by the water bearer, who symbolises compassion, spirituality and idealism, Aquarians are the most humanitarian astrological sign. Their homes will reflect their radical social awareness with plenty of inspiring artwork, and unique objects from independent designers.

Free-spirited and eccentric, Aquarians will want to surround themselves with the unconventional, but they do need plenty of time and space for reflection, and to formulate ideas, so usually create a calming and tranquil space at home.

Aquarius is also ruled by Uranus, the planet that governs innovation and technology, so expect their homes to be filled with the latest gadgets

Since their heads are often off floating in the clouds, they enjoy rooms with a view and plenty of windows to let in natural light. Their design style tends to be modern, and they look for a colour palette of whites, blues, and purples.

As the last air sign of the zodiac, Aquarius values fresh air and scents. It's a good idea to incorporate an air purifier into your living space, as well as salt lamps and clean fragrances like sea breeze and peppermint. To help get your creative juices flowing, create a dedicated area for play and other activities like drawing and working out.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

Design personality: Spiritual, calm, dreamy

They aren't known for spending impulsively, however, whenever a once-in-a-blue-moon opportunity introduces itself, they won't neglect it.

As the final sign in the zodiac, Pisces is said to have internalised the trials and tribulations of them all, making these celestial fish the most empathetic, compassionate, and often spiritual of the astrological wheel.

This is reflected in a harmonious and romantic design scheme, with elements that invoke the spiritual – Pisceans will be big fans of scented candles and incense.

Ruled by Neptune, the planet that governs creativity and dreams, a Pisces can often be found mindlessly daydreaming. Pisces will have fluffy cushions, soft throws and mood lighting to help them enter their world of fantasy.  When it comes to colours, Pisceans hate bold patterns, preferring muted and earthy tones like peach and subtle pinks.
